We are Scalpel, a quintet of rotten death metal maniacs hailing from
both Massachusetts and Rhode Island. As avid fans of death metal and extreme music, we are primarily driven by our love for heavy riffs and excessive gore.
Drawing much influence from many various extreme artists, we aim to create a unique sound that recognizes the perfection of our predecessors. Our only wish is to unleash our own brand of nauseating death metal upon the world. We have toured through much of Northeastern USA and Canada, playing with numerous signed and unsigned acts. The experience brought only positive progression in the band, bringing us closer to the release of our first full-length album, Sorrow and Skin. We believe this release to be a perfect representation of our musical efficiency and songwriting capability. We are well versed in our trade, and are ready to enter the world of professional death metal.
